Grants Up To $30,000
Didactic and Clinical Training Support
Program directors may apply for funds up to $30,000 to support trainees in interdisciplinary training programs focusing on individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).
Programs must have a didactic and a clinical training component with an interdisciplinary approach, faculty mentors and trainee-implemented research projects.
Programs with fewer than five trainees will not be considered.
Additional consideration will be given to programs with a documented record of placing researchers, policy makers, advocates and providers who are caring for and/or advancing the rights and full participation of all people with I/DD.

Completed applications, along with all other required documents and materials, must be emailed no later than 12:00 Midnight in the locality where transmitted from no later than May 31, 2025. Extensions will not be granted, and late letters will not be accepted.

The UW LEND Program has been supported by the Arc of Washington Trust Fund through this Program Grant program for well over a decade. LEND “alumni” trainees are now providing a variety of services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their families. A registry listing these “alumni” trainees, their specialties, their organizations and their locations is now available. These “alumni” went through training specifically to better tailor their services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and this may be a resource to families looking for such providers.
